An inventory is only worth as much as its last reconciliation. netBEE moves capture to the item rather than the desk, with barcode and RFID as the way in.
The brief
Inventory lists do not go stale through error but through effort: when recording demands a second trip via the desk, it gets postponed, and past a certain backlog nobody believes the list any more. The question is therefore not accuracy but proximity to the item.
The solution
Mobile capture with barcode and RFID at the location itself, feeding a record that carries each item's place, assignment and history. What is scanned is in the system immediately, with no intermediate list.
The outcome
The gap between reality and the record stays small enough that the list is the answer in case of doubt, rather than the starting point of a search.
Every inventory system fails in the same place: not at the recording itself but on the path between the item and the system. As long as that path runs through a note, a spreadsheet and later a keystroke, a backlog builds — and a backlog becomes, over time, a second and unofficial truth.
netBEE shortens that path. Barcode and RFID are not there for their own sake but because they are the reason a capture on site is faster than writing it down: scanning is not typing, and what is not typed cannot be mistyped.
In the record itself, every item carries its own history — location, assignment, changes. That is what separates inventory management from a list: the interesting question is rarely what exists, but since when, and where it was before.
