Rail and bus operators
Making public transport quality measurable
Quality in public transport is recorded by people standing on platforms and riding the vehicles. MAF turns that into data that stays comparable across surveyors, lines and months.
Our own product — municipalities, cities and associations
MuniPass — resident parking and pass lending for municipalities
A parking permit is at once a decision about a quota, a payment, and an answer somebody needs on the street in seconds. MuniPass holds those three against the same data — and carries, beside them, the lending of the annual passes the same municipality owns.

We look at the real process before talking about software. What is being solved today in spreadsheets and email threads is the clearest signal of where the work actually hurts.

Instead of a long build with one date at the end, we deliver finished, usable parts. You see the direction early and can correct it while correcting is still cheap.

Straight answers to the questions that come before an engagement — including the ones whose honest answer is “it depends”.
What does a project with OrigoSoft cost?
It depends on the scope, and a figure given without knowing the process would be a guess. We work on a fixed price, on time and materials, or under a framework contract — which one suits is part of the first conversation. A dependable estimate follows once we have seen how the work actually runs today.
How long does development take?
We deliver in iterations of one to two weeks, and each ends with something you can use. Instead of a single date at the end, you see early where it is going and can steer while that is still cheap. How many iterations it takes depends on the scope.
Do you work with existing systems?
Yes, more often than not. We integrate against systems already in place, even where their interfaces are older than the project, and we take over applications somebody else built. What that requires is something we look at beforehand rather than promise.
Do we get the source code?
Whether the source code is handed over is a matter of agreement and belongs in the contract, not in the small print. Either way, we build on widely used technologies and the build and the environment are documented and reproducible. The project stays continuable.
Do you also run the application?
Yes. We operate on our own hardware as readily as in your infrastructure. Handover in both cases includes documentation, reproducible environments and a restore that has actually been rehearsed once. Response times are set out in the contract once an application is live.
Do you work outside Austria?
Yes. We are based in Faistenau near Salzburg and work for clients in Austria, Germany and the EU. Meetings are held in German, English or Hungarian, and we are on site where the work calls for it.
